Genine

Hello, I’m Genine. I'm based in the historic fishing town of Eyemouth on the Berwickshire coast in Scotland. I’m passionate about marine life, the marine environment and marine conservation, particularly in our local seas. I enjoy sharing this passion and educating people about the importance of our seas through the adventure of snorkelling.

I spent a year working as the marine ranger for the Berwickshire Marine Reserve, working on a number of projects with the community and visitors to protect and promote this area.  I’m very grateful and lucky to be able to live and work in this beautiful coastal area and be able to bring the underwater world to all through teaching and guiding snorkelling.

I'm a BSAC qualified snorkel instructor and a PADI Divemaster guiding and assisting scuba diving when I'm not snorkelling. I  teach and guide all the sessions, kindly assisted by Joe at weekends and with larger groups.

Joe

Hi, I'm Joe. I have a passion for all things marine. Having completed a Masters in Climate Change: Managing the Marine Environment, I worked as a tropical coral reef researcher in Thailand before settling on the ‘Costa del Berwickshire’ where I worked as a Marine Ranger for the Berwickshire Marine Reserve in 2018. I continue to work in marine conservation and never cease to be amazed at the diversity and colour of marine life found along our coastline.  I’m delighted to share this unique underwater world through snorkel teaching and guiding. I'm a BSAC Snorkel Instructor and also a qualifed scuba diver. I assist Genine in teaching and guiding mainly at weekends.
